Nguyen

Mr. Nguyen is the Founder and Managing Partner of the firm. He is an experienced Patent Attorney and Lawyer in Vietnam. He has been licensed and registered to practice before the VNIPO and the courts at all levels.

Prior to founding TRI VIET & ASSOCIATES, Mr. Nguyen has been involved in the field of intellectual property, especially in addressing patent-related matters, since 1992. He was the Head of the Patent Department of the Investment Consultancy & IP Company (the first and leading stated-owned IP company in Vietnam belonging to the Ministry of Science and Technology) from 1992 to 2002, ALPHA Intellectual Property Law Firm from 2002 to 2004, and TRI VIET & ASSOCIATES from 2004 to present. In the capacity as the Head of the Patent Department of these IP firms, he has managed the patent departments and directly handled thousands of patent applications (especially PCT applications) and other patent-related matters for domestic and international clients ranging from the largest multinational companies to individual inventors, especially for clients from USA, England, Japan, France, Germany, Korea, China, Taiwan… 

Therefore, Mr. Nguyen has much experience and expertise in patent prosecution, enforcement, litigation and other patent-related matters in Vietnam. This was certified by the Director of the Investment Consultancy & IP Company and recommended by NOIP’s Managers.

Mr. Nguyen was an APAA Patent Committee member of the Vietnam Recognized Group in the period 2009-2012. During this period, he was the person in charge of the preparation and presentation of the Vietnam Patent Country Reports at the annual APAA council meetings.
